Gelcoat Repair Technician

Contender Boats is currently seeking Gelcoat Repair Technicians for the new Ft. Pierce, FL location. 

Job Duties:

  • Visually spot imperfections in all parts.
  • Repair the gel coat imperfections in all parts, using buffers, DA’s, pencil grinders etc.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Non-skid and fiberglass repair.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Past bodywork experience is necessary, marine is preferable but not necessary.
  • Gelcoat experience a must.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work order instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an open air and covered non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to work in dusty environment and follow PPE guidelines including use of eye protection, gloves and respirators as required.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines to meet shipment schedules.
