THEY FISHED CONTENDERS BEFORE THEY SOLD THEM.
Before there was a dealership, there was Bimini. By 10AM, Michelle and Stephen Boyle had twelve wahoo in the boat. Years on the water had built up to that morning—learning the fish, the currents, and how to set up a Contender for the kind of fishing that separates a good day from a legendary one. Two people who had spent years chasing fish across the Bahamas, sleeping aboard their Contender, fishing tournaments, and earning sponsorships from Yamaha, Garmin, Pelagic, and Contender itself—this was their life long dream before it was their business.
When BoylenPoint became a Contender dealership in July 2021, everything they’d lived and learned came with them.

THE 31FA THAT TOOK THEM TO THEIR WEDDING.
Michelle grew up sailing the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, and the Chesapeake. Stephen grew up fishing the Gulf, the Keys, and the Bahamas—eventually helping orchestrate his family’s first Contender purchase, a 23T built through Central Marine that went everywhere. When they got together, their love of the water was the thread.
In 2013, they bought their first Contender together—a 2005 Fighting Lady yellow 31FA they named Upgrade. That boat took them offshore overnight in the Gulf, spearfishing in the Abacos, and tournament fishing in the Keys. It eventually carried them to Treasure Cay for their wedding celebration at Nippers. Ten nights sleeping aboard followed, island hopping and chasing mahi and yellowfin tuna. The kind of honeymoon anglers dream of.
Then came wahoo. A few trips learning the ropes led to mornings in Bimini, and wahoo tournaments all over the Bahamas after that. Their commitment to the sport and to Contender earned them sponsorships from Yamaha, Garmin, Pelagic, and eventually Contender itself, who brought them both onto the prostaff team.
Both Michelle and Stephen had built careers in the wine industry. When the chance to become Contender dealers finally came, they said yes, quit their jobs, and brought home a brand new 2018 39ST. BoylenPoint. Open for business.

THE TEAM THAT LIVES THE LIFESTYLE THEY’RE SELLING.
Everyone at BoylenPoint spearfishes in the Gulf. Nobody on this team is theorizing about what a buyer needs on the water—they’ve already been there, fished it, and figured it out.
Last summer, the entire six-person team took their demo 39ST out of St. Petersburg Beach to Pulley Ridge. They bottom fished, caught a ton of snapper, swordfished through the night, slept under the stars, and ran into Key West for a couple of nights. A trip most customers dream about, lived by the people building their boat.
“How many teams do you know that have a shared experience like that on the boat you are buying?” the Boyles ask.
That question is the whole point. Tournament days, family sandbar days, offshore overnights, Bahamas crossings—the BoylenPoint team has lived all of it, and they bring every bit of that experience to the table when it’s time to spec out a boat.
“We have lived the lifestyle and fished through all different seasons of life,” the Boyles say, “and we get to share that experience with each customer through their build.”
THE MOST CUSTOM CONTENDERS ON THE MARKET.
Contender is one of the best hulls on the market for the angler lifestyle—and the Boyles wanted to make sure every customer felt that in every detail of their build. Teak seating packages, matched upholstery, and color schemes nobody’s seen before. A boat built with intention, where every finish and every design choice was made with a specific captain and family in mind.
When their first 44ST demo hit the water, it turned heads in a way no brochure can capture. People followed them into marinas wanting to know what they were looking at. A Contender, finished like nothing anyone had seen before—luxurious enough to stop strangers in their tracks, and still very much a fishing machine at its core.
One of those strangers was a father and son from Tampa—the Ramos family—who spotted the 44ST docked in Key West next to their Regulator and asked for a tour. A relationship started that captures exactly what BoylenPoint is about. The Ramos family eventually called ready to build their own 44ST. The Boyles went through the demo boat with them detail by detail—updating design elements, refining the technology, making it specifically theirs.
For the handoff, they planned something worth remembering: the Key West Marlin Tournament. The whole group booked slips and rooms at the Galleon, and on day one, with Stephen captaining from the tower, a Blue Marlin came in and hit the short bait right behind the teaser. Michelle grabbed the rod. BoylenPoint team member Connor wired the leader and released the fish—first marlin caught in the tournament, earning the daily. A boat delivery turned into a tournament win and the kind of memory that keeps people coming back.
The Ramos family spent last summer in the Abacos with the BoylenPoint team and are heading to Harbour Island together this summer. That’s what a BoylenPoint build leads to—a boat, and the people who helped you build it, for the long haul.

BOAT SHOWS ARE AN EVENT. THE BOYLES MADE IT AN EXPERIENCE.
BoylenPoint’s approach to boat shows is the same as their approach to everything else: show up prepared and make it worth the trip for everyone who walks through.
The season kicks off in Fort Lauderdale, then moves to the King of the Beach—one of the largest fishing tournaments in Florida—where BoylenPoint runs a Contender King competition within the tournament, paying out the top three placing Contenders. Last year, Doug Speeler took Contender King on his dual row 39ST, his fourth Contender and second from BoylenPoint, earning a custom embroidered cape, cash, a prize bucket, and champagne showers.
St. Pete Boat Show is their biggest stage. Seven boats on display, live music, a VIP area for existing customers, a BoylenPoint merchandise trailer, and on Friday evening, the VIP Party on the rooftop of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Customers, industry partners, professional photography, a custom hat station, and this year a 15-foot Contender replica floating in the rooftop pool.
People walk through BoylenPoint’s display and leave excited—about the customization possibilities, the build process, and what their future boat could actually look like. Miami follows, where Contender runs in-water sea trials for all models and plenty of St. Pete customers finalize their builds.
BoylenPoint also issues VIP Cards to customers—VVIP for anyone who’s bought more than three boats—redeemable at local businesses for access and discounts. Every customer who walks out with a Contender walks into a community that stays with them.
WHEN THE 2024 STORMS HIT, BOYLENPOINT SHOWED UP.
After back-to-back hurricanes devastated the Gulf Coast in 2024, BoylenPoint raised over $65,000 for local fishermen whose livelihoods had been wiped out overnight. With the help of industry partners, friends, and family, they handed checks directly to the people most affected by the storms.
Then they cleaned up their own office—which the storms had gutted—and hosted a community event for everyone who needed to be around their people. Years of real relationships held up when everything else fell apart.
“So many families have grown up on these boats and the passion for the brand runs deep,” the Boyles say. That depth shows up most when things get hard.
BOYLENPOINT’S NEW WATERFRONT HOME: FRESH CATCH, SEA TRIALS, AND FIREWORKS OVER THE GULF.
Their brand new waterfront office in Madeira Beach is nearly complete—and it’s unlike anything on the Gulf Coast.
Contenders sit on land and in the water so customers can step off the back patio and feel exactly what they’re getting into, with haul-out space for warranty and service right next door. FishBusterz operates a commercial fishing fleet out of the same location, bringing in fresh Gulf catches daily for a fresh seafood market on site. Above the market, a waterfront restaurant called FishHead Charlies will let you cook your catch or order the freshest possible local Gulf seafood. Two Contenders will be available for charter—so anyone not quite ready to buy can go out, catch fish, and feel what ownership actually means.
The Grand Opening is July 4th, 2026, with vendors, a VIP section, a country band, fresh seafood samples, and fireworks over the Gulf to close it out.
“Boating isn’t just about the boat,” the Boyles say. “It’s about the memories you make on the boat.” Contender has always believed that. BoylenPoint is building a place that proves it.
